Fujitsu Launches Dedicated Platform for Autonomous, In-House Generative AI Operations

Fujitsu has announced the launch of a new dedicated artificial intelligence platform that allows enterprises to independently manage the full lifecycle of generative AI, from optimal model development and daily operation to incremental learning and continuous enhancement of models and agents. According to Fujitsu Ltd, the platform is designed to support autonomous AI operations optimized for in-house use, addressing growing enterprise demand for sovereign and secure generative AI environments.

The company stated that the platform will be introduced sequentially across Japan and Europe, with preliminary trial registrations scheduled to open from February 2026. Fujitsu added that the initiative forms part of its broader strategy to accelerate generative AI deployment across all scales, ranging from large enterprise systems to edge and physical AI applications. By continuously evolving generative AI in line with changing business needs, Fujitsu aims to enable safe, reliable adoption across industries while supporting customer transformation and long-term growth.

Enterprises adopting generative AI increasingly require environments that meet sovereign requirements, including the protection of confidential data and the ability to autonomously control AI models and agents tailored to specific operational needs. However, Fujitsu noted that building such platforms in dedicated in-house environments presents challenges, including shortages of AI engineering talent, complex operational management, rising computing resource demands, and the need to mitigate emerging security threats.

To address these constraints, Fujitsu is offering the new platform as a dedicated AI environment that can also be deployed on-premise. The company said the platform will be provided through the Private AI Platform on PRIMERGY and Private GPT offerings. It integrates Fujitsu’s advanced AI technologies and platform products, including the Fujitsu Kozuchi AI platform, into a single package. By consolidating these components, Fujitsu aims to reduce initial deployment barriers and enable faster adoption, even for organizations without extensive specialized expertise.

The platform is designed to support secure generative AI usage within a closed environment, preventing external data leakage. Customers can select their preferred installation location, whether within their own data centers or Fujitsu-managed facilities, based on operational and regulatory requirements. Fujitsu also provides services covering infrastructure deployment through advanced operational support, allowing enterprises to operationalize the platform at scale.

A core element of the platform is its generative AI trust technologies. Fujitsu explained that the system incorporates a vulnerability scanner capable of identifying more than 7,700 vulnerabilities, including Fujitsu-defined types, alongside guardrail technologies that detect and suppress malicious activities such as prompt injection, inappropriate outputs, and unexpected behaviors both before execution and during runtime. Automated rule generation applies detected vulnerabilities directly to guardrails, enabling stable and reliable AI operations even for non-specialists. Fujitsu added that it plans to further strengthen technologies designed to reduce hallucinations and improve the reliability of generated outputs.

At the model layer, the platform is built around Takane, a large language model developed jointly by Fujitsu and Cohere Inc., offering high-precision Japanese language performance and image analysis capabilities. The system includes in-house fine-tuning features that support continuous improvement of business-specific models. Fujitsu stated that its lightweighting technologies can reduce memory consumption by up to 94% for Takane, improving usability through more efficient use of computing resources. Integrated quantization technologies are also intended to significantly lower AI utilization costs while enhancing performance.

To improve development efficiency, the platform includes an AI agent framework with low-code and no-code capabilities, enabling faster construction of AI agents by on-site teams. Support for Model Context Protocol (MCP) and inter-agent communication allows seamless integration with existing enterprise systems and data sources, as well as coordinated operation among multiple AI agents for more advanced applications. Fujitsu noted that it is exploring plans to containerize its proprietary technologies and offer them as AI agents on demand.

Ahead of the official launch, Fujitsu said preliminary trials for selected features, including in-house fine-tuning and model quantization, will begin accepting registrations from early February 2026. Features will be introduced progressively, with the full commercial launch targeted for July 2026, according to the company.
