GreenTech Launches WateRobot AI Agent to Transform Industrial Water Savings and Efficiency
According to ACN Newswire, GreenTech Environment Co., Ltd. has officially introduced the WateRobot AI Agent, marking a breakthrough in AI-driven industrial water management. The launch event, held in Beijing with nearly 400 industry representatives, carried the theme “AI for Water Freedom” and showcased how artificial intelligence is reshaping water efficiency across industries. The event was organized by the China Industrial Energy Conservation and Cleaner Production Association, GreenTech, and Beijing Zhenghe Island Information Technology Co., Ltd.
Industry leaders highlighted the importance of integrating AI with water technology. Wang Xiaokang, President of the association, emphasized that AI is opening new opportunities for industrial water conservation. Liu Donghua, Founder of Zhenghe Island, explained how AI can optimize wastewater resource use, with this technology providing scalable solutions for industries, cities, and national water systems.
AI expert Wei Kai from the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology noted that advances in large language models are enabling new applications, with this new tech representing a critical step for industrial water treatment.
GreenTech Chairman Zhang Huichun described how AI-led unmanned water plants can cut land use, construction time, and manpower by 90%, while reducing life cycle costs by 50%. This shift supports the SARAH principle—Sustainable, Abundant, Reliable, and Affordable High-quality water—to achieve long-term Water Freedom.
General Manager Wang Xiaoyu detailed that WateRobot integrates forecasting models, perceptual AI (vision, auditory, infrared), and large language inference to deliver safe, efficient, and low-cost operations. Already tested in water plant scenarios, the system is expected to expand into industrial, agricultural, and municipal facilities.
The event also launched the Artificial Intelligence Innovation Research Center, a collaboration between GreenTech and Wuhan University to advance unmanned and intelligent operations. A roundtable on “AI + Industry” explored the role of AI in driving restructuring and sustainability.
GreenTech further signed partnerships with the Finance Center for South-South Cooperation, Shanxi Xinzhou Economic Development Zone, CPIC Investment Management (H.K.), and several other organizations to accelerate the WateRobot AI Agent’s adoption worldwide.
This debut signals the rise of a new AI-powered model for water ecosystems, reinforcing GreenTech’s mission: enabling industrial water savings and efficiency through artificial intelligence.
