Hiverlab, a leader in Immersive and Spatial Tech with Global headquarters in Singapore, recently partnered with a leading Med Tech company to create an innovative Spatial AR proof of concept for their 3D-printed spinal fusion devices using the Apple Vision Pro. These devices aid in spine surgeries by stabilizing segments and promoting bone growth.

Challenge: Our client needed a spatial experience that provided a realistic replica of their product, allowing partners and potential clients to feel immersed and interact with it in ways traditional devices can’t match. The solution also needed to be compatible with iOSdevices, especially Vision Pro.
Solution: Using Apple’s Reality Composer and USDZ format, our creative and development team crafted an immersive experience with interactive buttons and scenes, ensuring seamless integration with Vision Pro and its hand tracking solutions for example pinch and grab. This approach enhanced user engagement without needing an additional app.
Benefit: The Vision Pro’s advanced graphics provided a detailed, nanoscale view of the spinal fusion devices, offering an immersive experience unmatched by traditional tech, for example tablets or web browsers. This technology could also be applied in the future for training doctors and informing patients about procedures.
