Aeris has entered into an inbound IoT connectivity management relationship with Verizon Business aimed at reshaping how multinational enterprises deploy and manage connected devices across borders. As reported by Business Wire, the collaboration introduces Aeris IoTA Inbound Services, integrating the Aeris IoTA Connectivity Management Platform directly with Verizon Business’ ThingSpace platform to create a unified global architecture.

The initiative builds on existing outbound IoT connectivity support that enabled U.S.-based enterprises to manage international deployments through Aeris IoTA. With this extension, global device fleets can now localize operations within the United States more efficiently, reducing operational complexity for companies expanding into the U.S. market.

One of the longstanding challenges for global IoT carriers has been the friction caused by fragmented connectivity platforms and complex domestic infrastructure requirements within the U.S. By combining Verizon’s nationwide network and ThingSpace capabilities with the Aeris IoTA platform, enterprises can oversee both U.S. and international deployments through a single pane of glass. The approach standardizes commercial terms while centralizing SIM lifecycle management.

Mark Cratsenburg, Chief Commercial Officer of the IoT Business Unit at Aeris, said global enterprises must move away from managing multiple connectivity contracts and disjointed systems. Through its integration with Verizon, Aeris is enabling tier-one global partners to expand IoT solutions into the U.S. market with greater speed and simplicity, while maintaining continuity for Verizon customers deploying devices internationally.

Shamik Basu, Vice President of Strategic Connectivity & IoT at Verizon Business, stated that the collaboration enhances the IoT experience for global customers by granting access to Verizon’s connectivity and platforms in the U.S., a critical market for international growth. As IoT deployments become increasingly global and mobile, partnerships of this scale provide extended reach without compromising reliability or commercial value.

Technically, the integration leverages the latest SGP.32 eSIM standard to enable remote provisioning and centralized device management. Enterprises can activate devices across multiple countries with greater confidence, supported by consistent architecture and policy controls. The system is also built to support 5G capabilities, including low latency and high bandwidth, supporting mission-critical use cases in automotive, industrial automation, and smart city environments.

Industry research underscores the need for simplified orchestration. John Gole, Research Director for IoT and Mobility at IDC, has noted that while organizations view IoT as central to digital transformation strategies, deployments remain operationally complex, particularly for companies incorporating artificial intelligence and automation at scale. IDC analysts further project that global IoT ecosystem investment is expected to exceed $1 trillion in 2026, driven by digital business expansion across manufacturing, utilities, and retail sectors.
