Goldsun Building Posts Record May 2025 Revenue Amid Taiwan’s AI Construction Surge – DIGITIMES Asia report
According to DIGITIMES Asia (11 June 2025), Taiwan’s leading construction materials firm Goldsun Building recorded its highest-ever May revenue, driven by an unprecedented boom in AI-related infrastructure development across the country.
Despite the usual monsoon-driven slowdown during this period, the explosive growth of AI data centers and semiconductor plants has boosted market activity. Goldsun’s May revenue climbed to NT$2.04 billion (approx. US$68 million), marking a 3.97% year-on-year increase. From January to May 2025, total revenue hit NT$9.41 billion, up 5.49% year-over-year. Its core concrete segment brought in NT$1.777 billion in May — a 4.52% increase from a year prior, the second-highest in the unit’s history.
Goldsun attributed this strong performance to rising demand from major AI-led construction projects, including smart parks, fabs, and high-tech zones. In Hsinchu, TSMC (2330.TW) is building four advanced 2nm fabs and a research center at Baoshan Phase II — where the P1 fab is already operational and among Taiwan’s most advanced. Goldsun’s Hsinchu plants are supplying concrete for TSMC’s Baoshan Phase II, its Zhunan packaging facility, and the Hsinchu County AI Park.
Beyond its materials business, Goldsun is also leveraging over 447,000 ping (1.48 million sq m) of land holdings. One major real estate project in Taipei’s Nangang Gateway district — adjacent to a major transportation hub — is set for completion by end-2027 and is expected to bring stable long-term revenue.
The company also reaffirmed its commitment to investing in AI and low-carbon innovations to meet the evolving needs of Taiwan’s tech construction sector and global sustainability goals.
