InfraX, a subsidiary of Digital DEWA—the digital arm of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (PJSC)—has entered a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with MEA-Comm, a UAE-based systems integrator pioneering private wireless networks for industrial IoT across the Middle East and Africa. The agreement aims to accelerate the development and deployment of advanced IoT solutions for utilities and critical industries in Dubai and the wider UAE.
According to TechAfrica News, the signing took place between Rashid Alahmedi, COO of InfraX, and Dr. Abdulhadi AbouAlmal, CEO of MEA-Comm, during GITEX Global 2025 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
“This partnership with MEA-Comm marks a significant step forward in our mission to lead digital transformation across the Smart Cities sector and beyond,” said Alahmedi. “By integrating AI, edge computing, and digital twin technologies powered by private wireless IoT networks, we’re creating a more connected, intelligent, and sustainable future. Under the agreement, InfraX and MEA-Comm will jointly perform technical and commercial assessments of interactive digital twins and edge-enabled architectures to deliver near real-time industrial capabilities. These solutions will leverage AI-powered platforms and intelligent agents to improve automation, resilience, and decision-making. The collaboration also involves partnerships with leading global technology providers to import international best practices into the UAE.
