Naver has significantly expanded its presence in Saudi Arabia’s fast-growing urban development and real-estate technology sector, unveiling an extensive portfolio of digital twin, artificial intelligence, cloud, mapping robotics and spatial computing systems at Cityscape Global 2025 in Riyadh.
The event, described by The Korea Times, Maeil Business Newspaper, BusinessKorea and Chosun Biz as the world’s largest construction, architecture and real estate exhibition, attracts more than 172,000 visitors annually, hosts over 500 exhibitors and records real-estate deals surpassing US$61 billion. Naver’s participation this year marked its fourth major showing in the kingdom, underscoring the company’s deepening alignment with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 transformation agenda.
According to reporting by The Korea Times, Naver’s central showcase was its newly completed digital twin platform covering Mecca, Medina and Jeddah—an extensive project finalized in June. Spanning approximately 6,800 square kilometers, or roughly 11 times the size of Seoul, the platform incorporates data from more than 920,000 buildings and is built on high-precision 3D modeling. The system enables terrain analysis, skyline modeling, sunlight and shadow simulations, landscape design planning and real-time verification of architectural concepts. Korean media noted that these tools were developed specifically for Saudi Arabia’s urban-planning needs and are designed to support government agencies and developers as they build new districts and upgrade existing ones in line with national development goals.
Coverage from Maeil Business Newspaper and Chosun Biz highlighted that Naver’s presence at Cityscape was structured around a broad demonstration of its end-to-end technology stack. The company recreated real-world digital environments, displayed its smart-city platforms and introduced the T2-B mapping robot to the Saudi market for the first time. Visitors were also given a chance to explore a new residential district planned for Riyadh through a virtual-reality experience powered by the same digital twin engine used for the three-city project. Adjacent to these demonstrations, Naver showcased its sovereign AI model infrastructure, an AI value chain designed for national-scale deployments, and consultations through an “Expert Bar” organized as part of its collaboration with Saudi Arabia’s National Housing Company.
BusinessKorea reported that the company views the exhibition as an important platform to consolidate its position as a global technology partner for construction and urban-operation projects. Naver officials noted that demand for advanced planning tools and AI-driven city management has risen sharply as Saudi Arabia accelerates megaprojects and new urban districts under Vision 2030. Returning to Cityscape Global for another consecutive year, they said, signals the maturing partnership between Naver and key Saudi institutions responsible for digital transformation in the built environment.
Kim Yu-won, CEO of Naver Cloud, told multiple Korean outlets that the company sees meaningful value in demonstrating digital twin technology developed specifically for Saudi Arabia and in bringing Team Naver’s AI capabilities to the region. Kim added that Naver intends to continue upgrading its technology platforms and will work with local partners to identify new deployment cases across urban development, architecture and real-estate operations.
