According to Process and Control Today, Rockwell Automation, recognised as one of the world’s largest companies dedicated to industrial automation and digital transformation, has partnered with Eplan, a leading engineering software provider, to introduce a new digital twin-driven integration at SPS 2025 in Nuremberg. The publication states that the joint solution is designed to streamline electrical design and simulation by directly connecting Eplan’s schematic design tools with Rockwell Automation’s Emulate3D™ software.
The report explains that this integration enables engineers to virtually model, test and refine systems—including industrial robots, control panels and conveyor lines—before committing to physical builds. By linking schematic creation with 3D simulation, teams are able to reduce engineering time, particularly when generating simulation models, while improving accuracy across early design stages.
