Taiwan Automation Intelligence and Robotics Association AI Robotics Alliance Targets $34 Billion by 2030
Taipei, 22 July 2025 – The Taiwan Automation Intelligence and Robotics Association (TAIROA) has announced the formation of a major AI robotics alliance in Taiwan, aiming to leverage the current artificial intelligence momentum to exceed NT$1 trillion (US$34.01 billion) in output by 2030.
This strategic alliance is organized by six prominent Taiwanese industry groups: TAIROA, the Taiwan Machine Tool & Accessory Builders’ Association (TMBA), the Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry (TAMI), the Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association (TEEMA), the Taipei Computer Association (TCA), and the Cloud Computing and IoT Association in Taiwan (CIAT).
The new Taiwan Automation Intelligence and Robotics Association AI Robotics alliance will develop five made-in-Taiwan robotics models across four platforms: automated mobile vehicles, foot-shaped robots, humanoid robots, and specialty designs. TAIROA highlighted Taiwan’s core expertise in creating high-tech components for robotics, such as controllers, sensors, chips, and electric machinery, alongside its integrated system solutions, AI computing, and smart software development.
By establishing a robust domestic supply chain, the Taiwan Automation Intelligence and Robotics Association AI Robotics will focus on decision support, power, and control systems, supporting the advancement of AI robotics technologies up to international standards and boosting the competitiveness of Taiwan’s products worldwide.
The Taiwan Automation Intelligence and Robotics Association AI Robotics plans to roll out its robotics innovations into eight key markets: health care, logistics, agriculture, manufacturing, caregiving, restaurants, disaster relief, and patrolling.
At the inauguration, Vice President Hsiao Bi-khim (蕭美琴) praised the Taiwan Automation Intelligence and Robotics Association AI Robotics for showcasing the unity and innovation of Taiwanese industry. Hsiao expressed confidence that AI robotics will lay the foundation for the next industrial revolution, with Taiwan well-positioned to compete in the global smart robotics sector.
