ZTE Launches NetTwinGuard Digital Twin AI for Core Network Storm Defense
ZTE Corporation (0763.HK / 000063.SZ) has officially launched its latest innovation, NetTwinGuard, at MWC Shanghai 2025, introducing a powerful AI-driven digital twin agent designed to proactively counter signaling storms and strengthen disaster recovery strategies in core networks.
The system integrates network digital twin (NDT) technology, multi-dimensional small models, and AI-based simulation algorithms, enabling over 95% simulation accuracy and slashing simulation time from over eight hours to under 30 minutes. It supports five key scenarios and empowers operators to shift from reactive to proactive network resilience strategies.
NetTwinGuard’s standout capabilities include:
- High-precision digital twins of core networks: Using AI algorithms and diverse data models, it replicates real-world network elements like topology and signaling paths on a 1:1 scale, providing granular second-level load simulations with waveform realism and over 95% accuracy.
- Flexible scenario simulation: With more than 30 pre-built scenarios (e.g. resource pool failover, network switchovers, and peak holiday surges), it enables dynamic scenario creation in just minutes.
- AI-powered optimization: Leveraging discrete event simulation, it quickly narrows down optimal flow control parameters from tens of thousands of combinations, pinpointing network bottlenecks and improving service convergence with minimal disruption.
- Closed-loop automation: Once configurations are verified within the digital twin, they’re instantly deployed in the live network—creating a seamless loop of pre-event simulation, real-time visibility, and zero rollback.
In pilot deployments across several Chinese provinces, NetTwinGuard proved successful in resource pool failover simulations, enabling the first combined impact assessments of entire networks and cloud-resource pools. Simulation time dropped by over 90%, with comparative results confirming its accuracy exceeded 95%.
Looking ahead, ZTE plans to expand NetTwinGuard’s role in core networks by enhancing its integration with granular data collection systems and accelerating the shift toward global, autonomous disaster prevention frameworks—laying the groundwork for a “digital immune system” in the 6G era.
As ZTE continues driving technological progress, its vision remains clear: deliver reliable, intelligent network solutions to global operators and enable the telecom industry’s transition into the next phase of intelligent connectivity.
